-In 2009 Darby's Pub made 2nd place in the Vancouver Courier's Readers' Choice Awards 'Stars of Vancouver'.
Situated in the heart of Kitsilano and established back in 1981
in what had previously been the local church, Darby's was one of
the first pubs in Vancouver. Named after the owner Terry Lightheart's sheep dog, many feel that
Darby is still looking over the flock today.
Chef Alex Rotherham serves up some amazingly unique dishes that
play on the traditional pub fare. The food prepared in this neighborhood pub,
while unique, is much like the style of modern English gastropubs; simple and
delicious fare, served with a passion, and at an affordable price.
Must Try Items Include:
Pan-fried Catfish & Chips
Roasted Butternut Squash Fondue
Vancouver's Most Peculiar Burger
S'Mores Torte with Coffee Caramel & Toasted Almonds
And with 13 beers on tap, a range of bottled beer
and a full selection of spirits and wines, there is certainly
a beverage for everyone.
Darby's Pub offers HD on 8 TV screens, and a 106" projection screen!
While the Pub is full of energy on all the great hockey nights, UFC's, and
most major sporting events; it's still the perfect cozy little
neighborhood pub.
Tuesday is Darby's Comedy night presented by Patrick Maliha. Every Wednesday
is Kitsilano's best Karaoke! Sunday is open mic night with Bobby Slack.
Summer time discover the most laid back and fun patio in Kitsilano. Darby's rooftop patio
is conveniently located a few blocks from Jericho and Kits beaches. And on a sunny day enjoy
a beautiful view of the north shore mountains.
